We kicked off the month of LOVE with a visit to one of our favorite schools – Matt Kelly ES. The students are always so very excited to see our chefs, and the staff keep the energy going with fun music played throughout the breakfast.

This breakfast we had an extra special visit from Ward 5 Councilwoman Shondra Summers Armstong who stopped by to talk with the kiddos and stress the importance of eating healthy foods for the first meal of their day.

A huge shoutout to Hospitality Culinaire Inc., the incredible team behind the Jamba Juice franchises at Harry Reid International Airport! For years, they’ve been whipping up delicious breakfasts for the kids at this school, turning an ordinary morning into an unforgettable celebration. With music pumping and the energy high, the school transforms the event into a full-blown party—because what’s better than great food, fun vibes, and happy kids?

The morning feast featured a nutritious and joy-filled spin on the happy meal: an Acai Berry Bowl with granola and fresh fruit alongside a Sausage and Egg Wrap, and a small toy to add an extra sprinkle of happiness!

As a second generation Chefs for Kids supporter, Michael David Ty, whose father helped found Chefs for Kids, says “For many of these kids, school is the only place they have access to food. So we’ve included an extra bag of fruit snacks for them to take home for later in the day.”

We love to see culinary sponsors who truly understand the importance of the work we do and go out of their way to make the breakfast a little extra special.

Another long-standing supporter of our Cookin’ Up Breakfast program has been Anderson Dairy who donates the milk for every breakfast. This time around we were able to snap some cute photos of those happy milk mustaches on the kiddos!

From culinary sponsors who cook to volunteer sponsors who provide much needed extra hands, we are always looking to add to our invaluable team to help serve up these delicious breakfasts. If you’d like to join in on the fun, shoot us an email!
