Having a Wooley Good Time!

November’s Cookin’ Up Breakfast event brought us to a new-to-us school where we made many new friends. Since this was the first year cookin’ up smiles at Gwendolyn Wooley ES, it was great to see the mixture of excitement and new anticipation on the kiddos faces as they entered the room. The kids didn’t quite know what to expect, so we were met with both looks of excitement and a few questioning faces, but by the end of the breakfast there were smiles all around!
Our friends at Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas cooked up a delicious breakfast including: a Warm Turkey & Frittata Sandwich with cheddar cheese and secret sauce accompanied by a Hand-made Chocobanana, Chewy Breakfast Bar, and Fruit GoGurt. The kids were also able to select from beverages including juice, water, and milk.
In addition to it being our first visit to this school, we had an impromptu birthday celebration for one of the Four Seasons staff. We all sang Happy Birthday to her as she blew out the candles on a Chocobanana. Now that’s a fun way to celebrate, and we’re grateful she chose to volunteer with us on her special day!
It was also great to see such a large contingent of our Chefs for Kids chefs volunteering at the event. We had nearly a dozen friends new and old joining us.
