Little Chefs, Big Smiles at Sunrise Acres ES

October 3, 2025

A young boy wearing a chef hat eats breakfast

The morning at Sunrise Acres Elementary School was nothing short of magical! As a welcome back to the school, we were greeted with a nicely drawn welcome sign, and boy were they excited to see us back again. This was our first visit to this school since before the pandemic.

As students filed into the cafeteria, they were welcomed by smiling volunteers handing out bright white chef hats. One student proudly exclaimed, “I’m a chef today!”—and just like that, the air was buzzing with excitement.

Inside, the Chefs of The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas were hard at work preparing a breakfast feast. The menu featured a hearty Breakfast Scramble of tater tots, eggs, bacon, and cheddar cheese accompanied by a Fresh Fruit Cup, Go-Gurt, and Chocolate Chip Muffin.

The kids couldn’t get enough of it—plates were cleared in no time! Parents were so curious about all the laughter and joy that some peeked through the cafeteria doors just to catch a glimpse of the fun.

One of our educators even spotted a few students walking home later that afternoon still wearing their chef hats—a sure sign that this breakfast left a lasting impression.

Of course, no breakfast is complete without a refreshing drink, and thanks to our friends at Anderson Dairy and Jamba Juice, students sipped on fresh milk as well as strawberry banana smoothies that paired perfectly with their meal.

These breakfast events wouldn’t be possible without all our wonderful culinary partners like The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Anderson Dairy, and Jamba Juice. A huge thank you also goes out to the CSN Culinary students, our board members, and all our volunteers who made this morning so memorable. Together, you helped fill little bellies, spark big smiles, and remind these students that they matter.Want to help us keep mornings like this going strong?
