The Farmers Market was met with rave reviews! A couple of exclamations overheard that day include “Is this real food? I better have my family cook this!” and “My parents are going to love me!”
This is a wonderful reminder that our Farmers Market not only provides kids with nutrition education and exposure to new fruits and vegetables, it helps families put fresh, healthy food on the table. Providing the take-home bags of educational info and produce helps bridge the gap from classroom to home and get the whole family involved in eating healthy.
