When are blueberries bad for your health?

When you’re the blueberry! No seriously, blueberries are known as a healthy superfood for good reason. They are high in nutrients like Fiber, Vitamin C, Vitamin K, and Manganese, while remaining low in calories (only 84 calories per cup). Their sweet taste also makes them one of people’s favorite fruits.
This month our students learned about, you guessed it, blueberries… and of course they were a hit!
Blueberries are a very versatile fruit that can be used in many dishes including: smoothies, salads, pancakes, or even eaten fresh as a snack. They also can be easily freezed in their containers, so you can enjoy them longer.

Simply grab some frozen blueberries and frozen bananas, add them to a food processor, blend until creamy, and enjoy! It’s that easy, we don’t need to list the ingredients separately or step by step.
Blueberries can be found in the store in various forms such as fresh, dried, or frozen. You can even freeze blueberries yourself in the clamshell they come in. Just make sure you wash the blueberries before you use or eat them!
